EAST London Central Local Football Association will officially conclude its 2015 football season this weekend at the North End stadium with the hosting of the semifinals and finals of of the Youth League Cup competitions.

Amazingly Pride of India Football Club will have semifinal representation in all four youth league divisions – the first time ever one club achieve this feat at North End.

The Prides management team comprising of Deeran Govind, Atesh Soma and Hilton Poovan were a major contributing factor behind the success of their youth development squads.

Poovan was however full of praise for the parents of their players who he believed was the focal reason of their successful run this season.

Tomorrow, their U11 side is scheduled to play Pefferville United at 12.30pm, their U13s will lock horns with Riverside at 9am, their U15s face the dangerous Millan at 12.30pm while their U17s square off against Parkside United at 2.15pm.

The other semifinal fixtures tomorrow see current U11 league champions Leeds United taking on this season’s runners-up Millan at 1.15pm in a titanic tussle, U13 league champions Swaraj entertaining Leeds United at 9.45pm, U15 league champions and defending cup champions Riverside facing East London United at 10.30am and Atlantic Spurs U17 facing a herculean task against the might of Riverside in the main game at 3.15pm. The finals of all four cup competitions are scheduled to take place on Sunday.

The U20 promotional league cup final between league champions Riverside and surprise outfit East London United will take place on Sunday at 3pm. Kelly Smith’s Riverside will become the first North End club in history to win six senior titles in one season should they prevail as victors.

It will, however, not be an easy task as East London United have proven to be cup specialist this season after reaching the semifinals of the Heritage Easter Tournament event and causing a major surprise when they beat the in-form Seagulls in the U20 cup semifinals.

East London Central concluded its five-day beer festival on Sunday at the North End stadium and according to the East London Central Local Football Association Beerfest local organising committee member Shane Benny the festival was a huge success in terms of the entertainment provided and the huge crowds that attended the festivities.
