Writer feeling neglected
IT IS so irritating to notice that letters or positive stories that I write about taxi people are not published. I recently wrote about the late Thami Makhuluma who was in the taxi business for more than 30 years, and that letter was not published. I’m fully aware about rules and regulations that the editor reserves the right to edit or reject letters but this is pure discrimination against taxi people because you only publish bad stories that involve shooting and violence.
Some time last year I advised that it is fair for regular writers to be informed if their letters will be published or not. I want to send a strong warning: if you are so arrogant to the extent that you don’t listen, one day people will stop writing letters to you and stop buying your paper and you will fall into the huge trap like the ANC did. — Mzwandile Mqotyana, via e-mail
We welcome your letters Mzwandile and we try to publish as much as we can. Keep writing. — Editor
