Baxter is ready to dance against Pitso

- By TSHEPANG MAILWANE

STUART Baxter and Pitso Mosimane seem to always bring out the best in one another.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Mosimane even admitted that he missed Baxter in the battle for the league title last season but now that the latter has built a strong team at SuperSport United, expect both coaches to fiercely battle for number one spotn.

This season's battle between the two coaches starts as early as tomorrow, when they meet in the MTN8 Tshwane derby quarterfinal at Loftus Stadium (3pm).

“Pitso said he enjoys when we meet because if you are going to dance, then you need someone to dance with, so that pushes you to dance better,” said Baxter yesterday.

“It's a natural rivalry between two professionals who have been at each others throats over the last three or four years. But I think it's a rivalry based on respect and it's not a rivalry based on 'we do not like each other or I don't like the way he plays football'. I respect what he has done at Sundowns. .”

Baxter admits he is the underdog going into the clash tomorrow but believes SuperSport would have a good chance of winning the competition they overcome their rivals.

"We are playing against the best team in the country at the moment. If we can knock them over, imagine the confidence that would go through the players' veins. It's only a couple of games and you are in the final. If we knock Sundowns out, then we've got every possibility of going all the way. It's a big one,’’ Baxter said. if
