Junior stars take centre-stage

-

EAST London Central Local Football Association will officially conclude its 4th edition Impala Electrical-sponsored U13, Joe Hendricks Memorial U15 and Graham Lottering-sponsored U17 football league programme this weekend at the North End stadium.

It all will most likely end in dramatic fashion similar to last weekend’s premier league finale between eventual champions Swaraj and Riverside.

Fabian Botha’s Leeds United FC look likely to join Swaraj FC (2014 & 2015) and United Aces (2013) as Impala Electrical U13 league champions should they collect the maximum points against struggling FC East London at 12.15pm.

All they require is but one point to secure the title. The Joe Hendricks Memorial U15 league is a more tightly contested affair as league debutantes Braelyn United lead Pride of India with only goal difference separating the two.

Braelyn United lock horns with twice U15 league champions Riverside at 2pm and Pride of India square off against Swaraj at 3pm. The Graham Lottering sponsored U17 league will feature a title decider tomorrow when log leaders Pride of India face three times and the current champions Riverside at noon.

Pride of India lead the log by two points. The East London Central Premier League Promotion/Relegation playoff between Buffalo City Soccer School and Napoli FC takes centre stage tomorrow at 1pm. — DDC
