Nobody wants an arch enemy

-

WHEN doing their makeup, some ladies start with their eyebrows and others with the foundation.

It’s all up to you. I prefer doing my foundation first.

Let me share some of the basic things we were taught at the makeup tutorial.

Some people may start pencilling at the start of their eyebrow when filling them in, or you can start at the highest point (the arch) of your brow.

The correct position for the arch of your brow is calculated by drawing an imaginary diagonal line from the edge of the nose that extends upwards passing through your pupil and up to the brow.

Using a brown pencil or wax pomade, from the arch make sweeping lines down to the end of your brow, following your shape. To finish off, you can start sweeping from the start of your brow right to your arch to give the brow a full shape.

Once the shape has been achieved, fill in your brow. You can use the wax pomade, add some powder formula as well, and finish it off by brushing with your spoolie.

Once all of that is done, you can apply a concealer to either side of the brow to cover any short hairs and correct any mistakes you may have made and to make your perfect brow stand out. Just a little reminder – brows will never look exactly the same. As they say, “they are not twins, they are sisters”. — Poliswa Plaatjie
