THE Jaziel Brothers, who recently released their fourth album titled Out of the Box, will be among artists entertaining the masses at the annual Matatiele Music Festival on Saturday.

Other artists expected to perform this Saturday are Ringo, Tsepo Tshola, Professor, Dj Bongs, Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta, Zahara, Oskido, Candy King, Fefe, Ree, Bakhulule and many more.

The Jaziel Brothers are multiaward-winning, platinum-selling musicians, producers and songwriters who have shaped and spearheaded the afro-pop genre in South Africa.

They are also the producers behind numerous Sama and Metro FM Music Award-winning albums and singles over the past decade.

The duo – Luthando and Ntobeko Ngcizela – made their debut in the music industry in 2006 and are known for songs such as Ngeke Ndiphinde, Gumba, Nonceba and Ndikhokhele Bawo featuring Jub Jub.

This year they celebrated a decade in the music industry.

Speaking with the Dispatch yesterday, they said they could not wait to share some of their new music with the people of Matatiele.

“We have been travelling to various places promoting the album. People in Matatiele can expect a whole lot of different songs from us.

“We will be doing some of the old songs that people have come to love and also do some of the new ones as well,” said Luthando.

The duo said while working on their current album they have had to think out of the box to bring their supporters something unique.

“We worked with different artists from Big Nuz, iFani and Amanda Black. We also have a song that is inspired by the Soul Brothers,” said Ntobeko.

“As much as we have infused a lot of genres, we have made sure that every song has that Jaziel Brothers special touch.”

Their latest album is available at all music stores and digital outlets.

The Matatiele Music Festival’s main objective is to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the community.

Matatiele local municipality mayor Momelezi Mbedla said they were starting to reap the benefits of hosting this event annually since 2011.

“Accommodation facilities, retail outlets, street vendors, transport industry and other small business owners are benefiting immensely.

“In 2015 we saw other social partners ie Alfred Nzo District Municipality and SAB joining hands with Matatiele to ensure that our vision is realised.

“Our local crafters from across the district were offered space to exhibit their products and also local contractors benefited from the event,” he said.

General tickets for the event cost R180, golden circle is R180 and VIP is R400. Tickets will be available from Computicket and Shoprite Stores. —
