Farmer’s wife interviews caged woman in video

-

Ok, can I start? (Speaking to the camera. Turns to Linda) Right. Your name is? Linda

Ok Linda. We are recording this video to send on to the people busy making this story ugly. Please tell the camera what happened, how your lift to town worked, where you got off, so we can put up the right story. Look that way and tell them so they can clearly see what you look like. *seeks clarity*

Tell the story that you asked for a lift to town. Continue with your own story.

I asked for a “hike” from the boss. He gave me the “hike” to town and when we got to town, he dropped me off at the garage. Is that as far as you wanted to go? Yes So [Erasmus] gave you the lift. You didn’t want to climb in the front because you are used to sitting at the back. You like the wind and stuff. Just give the right story there.

[Erasmus] asked that I sit in the front but I said “no, it is hot sir, I’ll sit at the back because we are used to getting on at the back”.

And? Did you arrive in town safely? But why did you get in the cage at the back instead of getting into the front of the vehicle?

I myself, because it was hot, I said I will climb into the cage. I said I’d sit in the cage.

And [Erasmus] always helps people who need lifts to town. So we think we are doing a good deed but now we see it’s wrong; other people are seeing it as something wrong. So, it mustn’t be too long of a story so just say you appreciate it every time someone helps because you are very far and it’s not easy to get a lift into town.

Yes.
