ANC’s ‘snowflakes’ melt before true democracy

AFTER the heavy emphasis on the word “democracy” in parliament last week, I sorted through some newspapers I wished to discard and came upon an article dated December 14 2013 published in the Daily Dispatch.

It concerns ANC members held prisoner for four years at the party’s dreaded Quatro prison camp for dissenters in northern Angola after having been detained at the Viana camp outside Luanda in February 1984.

The reason? They had taken part “in a prodemocracy
