Listeners hail Dineo appointment

DINEO Ranaka’s surprise appointment on Metro FM, just after Bonang Matheba resigned earlier this week‚ has been hailed by listeners – but she’s not just a “replacement” for B.

Speaking about her new gig as co-host of The Front Row‚ Dineo said she jumped at the opportunity to join the station.

“Usually when I get radio jobs I am hesitant taking them and ask for a day or so to think about it‚ but with this one I didn’t even think twice. I just knew that I am in‚” she said.

Dineo said that she had not planned on returning to radio until she was contacted by Metro FM management.

The reality TV star said she prayed for guidance and welcomed the gig with open arms.

Dineo’s move to Metro FM comes in the wake of major reshuffles at the station.

Bonang resigned on Monday with immediate effect after it was revealed that Lerato Kganyago would be joining her as co-host on The Front Row.

B said she resigned on principle after feeling “bamboozled” and claimed that she was only notified of the changes an hour before she went on air.

However‚ a TMG exclusive revealed that Metro FM management had tried to meet with B days before to notify her.

B failed to pitch up to scheduled meetings and in one incident said she knew nothing about the meeting‚ which was agreed to. — TMG
