Prayer did it for star and Coffee

ACTRESS Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa is not surprised by her husband’s “meteoric rise” to international stardom explaining that the couple prayed for it several years ago.

Mlotshwa’s husband‚ DJ Black Coffee‚ has fast become one of the most famous South African musicians in the world‚ having produced projects with the likes of Alicia Keys and Drake.

The DJ recently announced several more projects with Usher and John Legend and his wife told Times Media that she was not surprised by his success.

“I have never been surprised by what he has done. We sat down about seven years ago‚ when we first met‚ and discussed our goals. We prayed for our goals.

“Everything he has achieved we prayed for‚ as a couple.

“Now when anything happens‚ people will congratulate us but I’m like; ‘we have been praying for this’‚” she said.

The actress recently returned from studying drama in America‚ where she was a top student. She also cemented a starring role on e.tv’s new telenovela Broken Vows .

She said that she was inspired to work hard to achieve her dreams because of her husband’s relentless drive and work ethic.

“He has incredible drive. I am so proud of him. He is such an inspiration to me.

“When I look at him achieving so many of his goals it shows me that my dreams are completely possible‚” she added.
