‘The Fixer’ now on e.tv

-

TWO of the most powerful women characters in international television now have a home on e.tv. The Fixer, starring Kerry Washington, arrived at the channel last night, joining Viola Davis in How To Get Away With Murder on Wednesdays.

The two hard-hitting ABC Studios drama series have won a host of awards in their uncompromising portrayals of powerful women in the world of politics and law.

“We’re delighted to be able to bring these powerful dramas, with their strong cast, to our growing viewership. e.tv continues to add world-class international content to our lineup and shows don’t get much bigger than these two series,” managing director of e.tv, Marlon Davids, said.

Starring in The Fixer on Mondays at 8.30pm is Washington as Olivia Pope whose job it is to make massive problems, disappear.

Pope has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite and keeping those secrets under wraps.

Revered and feared at the same time, Pope, a former media consultant to the President of the United States, left the White House to open her own crisis management firm. She is hoping to start a new chapter in her life but she can’t seem to completely cut ties with her past.

Slowly it becomes apparent that her dysfunctional staff, who specialise in fixing other people's lives, can't quite fix their own.

How To Get Away with Murder on Wednesdays at 9.30pm stars Academy Award winner Davis as Annalise Keating.

Keating is a defence attorney who represents the most hardened, violent criminals – people who’ve committed everything from fraud to arson to murder – and she’ll do almost anything to win their freedom.

But as strong as she is, she has challenges of her own.

The successful attorney is forced to confront secrets about her life she never saw coming, through her relationship with Philadelphia detective, Nate (played by Billy Brown).
