Mohoje to miss final Test
SOUTH Africa flanker Oupa Mohoje will miss the final Test against France in Johannesburg after suffering concussion in a 37-15 seriesclinching triumph this weekend, officials said.
The 26-year-old from the Central Cheetahs Super Rugby side had to be stretched off the field during the first half in Durban Saturday after clashing with Louis Picamoles.
French loose forward star Picamoles continued playing for a short period before being substituted as well.
Springbok coach Allister Coetzee said “Oupa will have to follow concussion protocols and take at least a one-week break from the game”.
Young Coastal Shark Jean-Luc du Preez, who came on for Mohoje, is the likely replacement in the back row beside skipper Warren Whiteley and Siya Kolisi.
Outside centre Jesse Kriel from the Northern Bulls was forced to retire with concussion during the 37-14 first Test victory in Pretoria last weekend. — AFP
