EL’s Danster secures his biggest title yet at Garden Route Classic

- By ROSS ROCHE

RISING bodybuilder Lusindiso Danster claimed arguably the biggest win of his budding career when he came out on top in the 2017 Garden Route Casino Bodybuilding Classic over the past weekend.

22-year old Danster, who works out of Body Culture in Beacon Bay, took the win in his senior under 80kg category, before going on to claim the overall win against the end of the category winners at the end of the show.

“I have had one other big one before but this is my second overall win for seniors, so it is a massive thing,” said Danster.

It was a competitive event that saw bodybuilding enthusiasts from the Garden Route, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town among other places display tremendous efforts, all with hopes of walking away with the prestigious title to keep up the momentum and claim another title.

“The Rise of the Phoenix competition is in East London on July 8 in Beacon Bay and I am gunning for the win,” said Danster.

“But I am just aiming to put in as big an effort in each and every show I compete in this year and hopefully I can keep winning.”

Later in the year Danster will be heading overseas to compete and he is hoping to build up a lot of momentum to take into that trip.

“I am going to China in September and I am very excited for that, so I can’t wait,” said Danster.

“I still have a lot of work to put in and I am planning to put in a lot before I head over.

“I am hoping to get some sponsors to help with the costs as a lot of money is needed to go over so I will be working on that.”

Danster will be back in bodybuilding action next weekend.
