Soccer shouldn’t see race

-

Premier of the Western Cape whilst prohibiting her from party activity.

This is a sign of disrespecting the intelligence of our masses.

We agree with Manana when he says there is no excuse in the world to justify his violent conduct. He must indeed, try to source help from professionals.

But we demand that he relinquishes any position he holds in government. He needs time. Clearly he has a serious problem and cannot execute his constitutional expectations and obligations properly.

We have a strong view that he must never hold any public office until such time that the relevant professionals can guarantee us that he has been properly counselled and rehabilitated.

We cannot be at risk as society from people who are capable of any type of behaviour at anytime. We cannot risk that.

Manana must now focus on his case. He must spend much of his time trying to correct that embarrassing conduct.

We appeal to the ANC caucus in parliament to please replace Manana with IT WAS sad to read Safa-BCM president Prince Sibam’s comments about developing the black child (“Top Safa brass in great lift – Nkompela, Sibam have opportunity to share expertise” DD, August 22).

Soccer sees no race on the playing field, yet he seems to see it and is proud of it.

Is this the kind of person to be a brand ambassador for Safa? Safa prides itself on not being associated with racism yet Sibam makes a statement like this in a newspaper. — Name supplied, via e-mail
