Miracle healing from brain tumour inspired new album

GOSPEL singer Anele Sabani, who feels he was “delivered” (saved) from a brain tumour is sharing his testimony through song with his latest release, Amandla Endumiso.

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology student, who hails from the Eastern Cape, said he suffered a mild stroke in 2015, and was later informed he had a brain tumour.

“Prior to being hospitalised in April, I had severe headaches but I didn’t see a doctor for that.

“It was only when I had that mild stroke that I realised I need to take my health seriously,” he said.

The 25-year-old said when doctors told him he had a brain tumour, he could see his life ending.

“I found myself saying these words ‘I shall not die but live and proclaim the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living’.

“These words encouraged me and kept me going during that difficult time,” he said.

After spending a month in hospital, doctors ran numerous tests and were amazed to discover that Sabani had no brain tumour.

“They could not believe what was happening. They suggested an MRI scan but it still came back clear,” he said, adding that this showed that God still had plans for his life on earth.

“I knew from that moment that my life would never be the same again and I had to use my music to declare the goodness of God!” he said, adding that the experience inspired him to start making music again.

“I first released an album in 2013 but it didn’t do well.

“When this whole thing happened I had stopped making music and was focusing on my studies. After that I had to go back to making music and I am grateful I got a label,” he said.

Now signed under Veectory Music Production, Sabani is working towards releasing his second album.

He said “we are pushing” for the album to be released by October. —
