Taylor said he could not bring his tour to the city.

“The tour is also part of promoting my new single, Stronger . This is a song I wrote for Women’s Day,” he said.

Taylor said he co-wrote the song with the women of the world.

“I put up a post on social media asking women what makes them strong. I received a lot of responses and this song came from that.

“I co-wrote it with all my fans from all over the world,” he said.

The country first heard of Taylor in 1998 when his hit single Why remained on top of the radio charts for five consecutive weeks.

Since then, he has released numerous wait to works and continues to top the charts.

With almost two decades music industry, Taylor said important to stay humble.

“Being in the music industry has its highs and lows and I believe it is important to stay humble.

“There will come times where one is not at the top and there are new artists taking over.

“One needs to take heart and persevere through it all,” he said.

People should expect to go on a musical journey with him and his band.

“I am touring with my regular band. These are guys who’ve been with me since the beginning.

“People often ask me how did it begin or what have I been doing. The tour is an answer to such questions.”

He said he would be performing music from his first album.

“I will also be doing songs from artists such as Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder. They influenced me when I was growing up,” he said.

His latest album, Made, is available on iTunes. He said the 10-track album was jam-packed with all original soulful pop and R&B hits.
