Palmer eyes another fine win at home

-

Palmer was not worried about the team’s lack of goals in away games.

Last week, they played to a goalless draw against Richards Bay FC but the coach vowed to fix the mistakes they committed on the field.

The coach also promised to break the jinx of not scoring in away games.

“We want to maintain our loss-free record at home so we have to get maximum points because that will also keep us in reach of our targets that we want to achieve in four games.

“Bongani “BK” Kama is back from an injury and we also have other marvels like Shane April, Sifiso Ntjolo that fans should look out for and obviously Pentjie Zulu will also be on the field.

“There’s a lot of depth in the squad now because when I brought in Steve Anoma for BK [during the game against Richards Bay FC] he did very well you know,” said Palmer.

“So at least that shows that we have depth in defence and the players that came into the team.

“I think they are hungry to prove themselves, so that competition is very healthy for us.”

The former Orlando Pirates striker said he aimed to maintain the high tempo football his side plays and to keep on improving his boys understanding of their individual styles of playing.

“There’s definitely improvement in the squad playing together, they have really gelled smoothly recently because they have had game time together.

“Especially with Shane Thompson, he has improved and settled well now and he had a good game last week too.”
