Bro Ace an inspiration

CONGRATULATIONS bhuti Andile Ncobo for your articulate, knowledgeable, magnificent and well written book Ten Principles of Philanthrophic Leadership , most certainly written with maximum devotion and determination, equitable to the challenges and anomalies dominant in our communities and established structures which require a philanthropic approach more than ever.

I’ve known comrade Andile since he was a player for Gcaleka Aces at Nqadu village in Willowvale. Even then he demonstrated high intellectual ability in leading and thinking out of the box to undertake activities which benefited those who could not afford the bare essentials.

Fast-tracking through life’s marathon he excelled, yet ever giving his time and energy to practical programmes which had to be fruitful. Perusing the chapters of his book change my life and most certainly the way in which I viewed critical narratives on leadership will never be same. I have read variety of leadership literature from African and other perspectives and the common, dominant emphasis is on the need for us to work together and swallow our pride for the benefit of our own communities.

Comrade Andile you are correct, in our postmodern times we must always think out of the box and accept that the best of times are yet to come. Your book of course, is not a prescription for our contemporary problems, but rather is a valuable catalyst in the quest to reconnect and deal with the problems of those leaders hellbent on clinging to power for dubious causes.

We congratulate you, bro’ Ace and surely, Maduna, your level-headed efforts in helping those of us lower in society’s pyramid are highly appreciated. — Zibele Xuba, Ngcobo
