on the cards for the athletes over R100 000 up for grabs.

The overall winner of the night will walk away with R25 000, while second place will get R10 000 and third R5 000.

The overall beach bikini, fitness bikini, men’s physique and juniors men’s divisional winners will bag themselves R2 000 each, while all other divisional champs will claim R1 500, with second picking up R1 000 and third R500.

“We have doubled the prize-money from last year’s event,” said Majeke.

“It is growing each and every year and we are expecting top athletes from all over the country and from other countries to come down, so we wanted the prize-money to match the calibre of competition that we will be showcasing.”

Weigh-in for the athletes takes place next Friday from 4pm to 9pm.

Pre-judging will then get under way next Saturday from 9am, with the main show taking centre-stage from 5.30pm at the Walter Sisulu University.

“I am happy with the growth of the event as well as the support from all the sectors from our area, which are the provincial department of sport, the OR Tambo district municipality as well as other partners such as Panarottis, Savoy Hotel and the hosts Walter Sisulu University,” said Majeke.

“It is going to be a top-class show and is the only event that draws international athletes in the Eastern Cape so fans will be in for an enjoyable night.”

Tickets for fans eager to attend the bodybuilding extravaganza can be found at the Hotel Savoy in Mthatha, at Olympic Cafe Supplements and at dot com internet café next to the ANC offices. with
