Ready for Ramaphosa

-

THE current results of ANC provincial general councils as reported in the media unequivocally demonstrate that come December, the deputy president of ANC, comrade Cyril Ramaphosa will be the 14th president of ANC.

These results are not surprising, rather show what we, as ordinary members are prepared to work tirelessly until the last conclusion.

Of course, we understand that in some provinces, especially those with leaders captured by AmaGupta, it may seem there is a different narrative.

Henceforth, we ought to put it on record as footsoldiers for renewal that all is not lost even in KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and North West.

Besides the game of numbers it appears that the rank and file of the ANC at ground level predominantly wants leaders that have a vision to take South Africa forward.

We want leaders who will prioritise implementation of our radical economic transformation policy as adopted in our last conference, not leaders who will use our strategic vehicle to build this nation as their own bandwagon for their egocentric manoeuvres.

It is time again that the ANC is renewed and takes its legendary role as the centre and hope of building a prosperous country.

Such is of course, possible when we say no to candidates with links to state capture, the extension of a family dynasty and the possible turning of the ANC leadership into marital affair.

As ordinary members we are entirely ready for the excellent leadership of Ramaphosa. Siyavuma our future President. — Zibele Xuba, Ngcobo
