EAST London’s popular motor dealership Nate’s Car Sales has lots to celebrate. After only a year of operating from the corner of Rosedale and Amalinda Main Road they recently expanded their premises to include an impressive showroom to display vehicles.

The building was previously occupied by a hardware store.

Owner Nathanael Padayachee who has been trading in the industry for over 10 years said he was excited to showcase “top of the range” vehicles in the showroom.

“Not only are we able to display highend vehicles in the showroom, but also some classic older cars.

“The new showroom allows us to stock an even better variety of cars.”

He added that with the increased capacity they had a bigger range of vehicles for customers to choose from. The showroom has also freed up space on the main premises for customers to walk more freely around vehicles.

For many years Nate operated from a private residence.

“I’m overwhelmed to see how we’ve grown. We took a big step moving to Amalinda Main Road from the house. Now we’ve taken another leap and opened the showroom.

“When I started this business I didn’t dream it would grow this big. It never seemed possible. But with lots of hard work and by upholding certain values it’s paid off.

“We are also thankful to all of our customers without whom, this would not have been possible. To all those who supported us in any way, to Kempston Property Group for all the assistance, and to all our family, friends and loved ones – a huge thank you,” said Nate.

The iconic premises in Amalinda is adorned with red, white and black flags, while the showroom building is painted bright red.

Drivers hoot and call out for Nate, all day long when they drive past the dealership. This is a wonderful testament to Nate. Describing customers as family, it’s evident that Nate truly cares about every person who enters Nate’s Car Sales.

In Nate’s personal capacity and through the business, food parcels and profits are given out as donations.

Nate believes this is why the business has been blessed.

In December Nate used the showroom to host a Christmas party for underprivileged children.

Nate’s Car Sales are currently assisting Easy Life Kitchens with a winter drive by acting as a drop-off point for beanies, scarves, blankets, gloves, toiletries and non-perishable food items.

Keep an eye on the Nate’s Car Sales Facebook and website for upcoming events.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Nate has also planned something special for the dealership.

“We invite everyone to come visit us. We will be giving away awesome Nate’s Car Sales branded kiddies camping chairs as well as branded teddies randomly throughout the month to all our buyers, sellers, spotters, Facebook shares and any of our supporters.” The Nate’s Car Sales’ website is updated new vehicle regularly arrivals.

“It’s quite a comprehensive site. We upload all the pictures, prices and any additional information onto our site.

“Our Facebook page is also very popular. A lot of people interact with us through Facebook and it’s a good way for customers to see all our stock.”

Honesty, integrity and sincerity with good service is a big part of Nate’s Car Sales and they believe this is another reason why their customers keep returning and the business is able to grow. with all the

ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has told the party’s MPs that he is not negotiating any deal to protect state president Jacob Zuma from prosecution over corruption.

This is according to ANC MPs who attended the ANC caucus meeting yesterday, where Ramaphosa briefed them on his ongoing transition talks with Zuma.

ANC MPs, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not allowed to speak to the media on caucus discussions‚ said Ramaphosa told them he was not discussing granting Zuma immunity from prosecution with Zuma because he simply had no authority to do so.

Sources said Ramaphosa told MPs that any discussion of immunity for Zuma would undermine the authority of the government in running its own affairs and could also been seen as political interference in state affairs.

“Cyril said to us that he was not into any deal-making because any deal brokering would amount to political interference in the affairs of the state or the running of government departments.

“He said to us that discussions on the transition were about ensuring the unity of the ANC‚” said one MP.

Reacting to media reports‚ the DA said it would not “hesitate to approach the courts to stop Ramaphosa” from granting Zuma immunity from prosecution.

The National Prosecuting Authority is in the coming weeks expected to decide whether or not to reinstate about 783 charges of corruption‚ racketeering and money laundering against Zuma after he filed fresh representations against the charges last week.

The MPs also said Ramaphosa told them it was “just a matter of days” before his transition talks with Zuma are concluded.

The 90-minute address was his first meeting with the party’s caucus since his election in December.

He was briefing MPs on his ongoing talks with Zuma after a decision by the party’s highest decision-making bodies in between conference‚ the national executive committee and the national working committee to ask him to step down as head of state and head of government.

The caucus sources said that Ramaphosa explained that he decided to postpone the NEC meeting that was scheduled on Wednesday to seal Zuma’s fate following a “change of tone” from a defiant Zuma.

Zuma had told the ANC’s top six officials that he was not ready to resign when they asked him to do so at a meeting on Sunday.

“The president said that he had to postpone the NEC because he received a change in tone from JZ between Sunday and Tuesday when they met‚” said an MP. —
