KOMANI-born music sensation Thembelani Mbalo has released his second gospel album,

Ukuhlala Kuwe, as a musthave for gospel collectors.

The 10-track album, a mixed bag of traditional gospel, jazz gospel, Zion gospel, RnB gospel and international gospel, is now available across the country.

With songs like Ulithembalani, Ukuhlala

Kuwe and Let the Glory,

Mbalo’s music reaches out to everyone.

Speaking to the Daily Dispatch about the album, Mbalo said he had been touring the country promoting the album, and had received a great response so far.

Mbalo grew up in the dusty streets of Mlungisi, where he was introduced to jazz at an early age.

By the age of 10 he was able to play the piano.

“This album caters for everyone who loves gospel music. Everyone will have a song that they will love.

“I have worked with wellknown musicians in the album, and among them is a well known RnB singer Sifiso Fakude, Andile Bhebhula, known as Andile B, Lindani Gumede, who is also the producer of the album, and Nhlanhla Gumede, who is also the promoter of the album,” he said.

He said he released his first album Exaltations in 2016 – an instrumental album warmly welcomed by his supporters throughout the Eastern Cape.

“Last year, I released a single and it did very well. It was played on some TV channels on DStv – the first time I have appeared on television,” said Mbalo.

The founder of the Thembelani Mbalo jazz band said he had worked hard on the album, and the response was gratifying.

“People who want a copy of the album can contact me – Thembelani Mbalo – on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter,” he said. —
