SWEET SOUNDS

All about Ed Sheeran at the Guild

-

EXPERIENCE the magic of Ed Sheeran as Wayne Kallis steps into the shoes of the in-vogue, singer-songwriter, hitmaker, beatboxer and guitarist to bring ‘Perfect – the Music of Ed

Sheeran’ to the Guild Theatre stage for one night on Friday, June 8.

Such is the current popularity of Sheeran’s music that the show, performed by Centrestage’s six-piece band, was sold out in Port Elizabeth before even being officially announced.

“The audiences for this show have been off the charts,” says Kallis.

“It’s an amazing feeling to have the crowd knowing the lyrics as well as you do . . . and singing along at every opportunity,” he added. The six-piece band will recreate Ed Sheeran’s eclectic blend of acoustic pop, folk, R & B and hip-hop which has made him the darling of today’s pop world.

The show is jam-packed with Sheeran’s best loved hits,

including The Shape of You, Perfect, Sing, Photograph, Thinking out Aloud, The Ateam, Castle on the Hill, Galway Girl, Lego House and many others.

The Ed Sheeran band features Wayne Kallis as Sheeran, Alan Kozak on lead guitar, Thuba Myeki on vocals, Debbie Everard on keys, Andrew Warneke on bass and Kevin Mattheus on drums.

Tickets for the show are R160 each or R140 for eight or more at Computicket.
