Party politics in the way

-

I LISTEN with disdain when the ANC acts in the manner that they do.

In Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, they are crying about DA mayor Athol Trollip’s budget that is not pro-poor.

In Tshwane it is the same story.

What are they saying about the Buffalo City Metro budget and other municipalities that dig deep into ratepayers’ pockets?

They have unrealistic data on indigent residents, and now the poor working class must pay higher rates for water and electricity.

If ANC councillors can boycott council meetings in DA metros and municipalities, why can’t they do the same with their own councils?

Instead of fighting with the DA, I suggest the two parties put their energy together and improve things in councils run by the ANC and the DA.

They should all be working to improve living conditions of all South Africans in all municipalities.

The spirits of the ANC’s ancestors will continue to punish the party because self-serving leaders are at its helm.

More than 20 years into democracy they are still narrating the legacy of apartheid, hence the votes are shrinking.

We are tired of hearing the same stories. History won’t better the lives of South Africans.

Only visionary leadership will do that – not greedy individuals who are power hungry.

Its not yet Uhuru, the country is burning. —
