Kudos to Qoboshiyane
Iwish to express my sincere gratitude to the Eastern Cape department of rural development and agrarian reform for heeding to the calls we have made as citizens of this province, and the former rural development MEC Mlibo Qoboshiyane in particular, for implementing many projects for agricultural development.
Reading the insert in the Daily Dispatch titled “Uphuhliso” on July 24, one would see what I’m talking about.
I also thank the entire Eastern Cape executive for allowing him to do his duties without hindrance. Although we might feel a little sad about his redeployment, we are glad for what he has done. We also have hope in the current MEC Xolile Nqatha, as he is schooled in issues faced by the working class, peasants and marginalised.
Our aim as vanguards against all forms of exploitation is to do away with all segregation and to become a classless society.
This we will accomplish by doing things that will develop our rural communities, like promoting agricultural sectors.
We all know it is not over until the fat lady sings. In fact, this is just the beginning. But a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. The whole country is debating the land question and after that we hope to reap the fruits of our labour. To you, Mr Qoboshiyane, thank you and hang in there.
As you have said, you never joined the movement for a position. – Xola Mkuyana, Bhisho
