Tornado skipper Teboho Moeti says they’ve got all the experience required to win their away game against P E Stars at the Saints Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

The former E C Bees midfielder told the Daily Dispatch, before the club’s departure from Mdantsane to the friendly city, that the defending champions have already found their combinations that will help them score goals.

Last season’s winners have won two games in the third-tier league and they’ve managed to qualify for the last round of this year’s Nedbank Cup preliminary round.

“The team is complete now and with the three games we’ve played in the league, we know each other now.

“Last season some of the players in the side were playing for other teams.

“Like me, I was at Bees, so now we’ve had enough time to find our strengths as a team and we have combined those.

“So the team is complete now and we’ve got finishing tactics in place as well,” said Moeti.

He said his new side had ambitions of making it into the last 32 teams of the Nedbank Cup and “to win the league”.

“We are going to take the league and I want to be here when that happens. When I got to Bees they were defending champs, but I never got to win that title.

“Now I think I have a chance to make that dream come true.

“This team can do anything. There’s talent all round and there’s experience and even the coaches know their stuff.”

Moeti, who came in as a substitute in last season’s Nedbank Cup game against Mamelodi Sundowns, where Bees lost 2-1, said the experience of playing against the former African champions was just what he needed in order to fit in at Tornado.

“They [Tornado] were at the playoffs, playing very strong teams and me, having played against Sundowns last season, gives me that confidence I need to succeed.

“I believe that should we make it to the Nedbank last 32, we will be a hard team to beat.

“We are going to PE to collect three points and we have a clear plan for this season as a team,” said Moeti.
