Swopinfo launches two new programmes

Swopinfo (SI), an East Londondeveloped social media networking system, has launched two additional platforms – Clock In and Pay Gate.

“It is a world first, there really is nothing like it,” said Gavin Simoen who, together with urologist Fred Tyler, both East Londoners, spent five years perfecting SI.

“SI offers cloud storage, personal and professional networking; it can share documents, photos, videos, presentations, and members can sell through it with payment direct to an account, totally secured.”

Tyler said SI has a team of 11 software design engineers based in India. They have ensured that SI is compatible with most smartphone systems.

SI’s Pay Gate allows buyers and sellers to transact online, in standard transaction time. Payment triggers instant file delivery, said Simoen.

Files are encrypted, and cannot be copied or distributed.

“Private users do not pay, and businesses pay a minimal fee,” said Tyler.

“It links to all social media sites. Members can publish catalogues, marketing material, videos, brochures and business cards, all in one place, sharable at the click of a button.”

The new Clock In function enables staff, when they report for work, to take a selfie and click on their employers’ SI site. When downloaded, it provides the employee’s position with the time of the picture. SI, said Tyler, could eliminate the government’s problem with absenteeism and ghost workers.

East London-based painting contractor Belgrove & Snell director Grant Snell said the programme answered several concerns that “we have tried to solve for many years”.

“Our teams work throughout the Eastern Cape, and communication is a massive problem. Now we have instant management control of time sheets, productivity, stock control, and progress with every job.”
