STREAK Of Silver can take home the gold in the November Stakes over 1 400m of the Fairview Polytrack tomorrow.

It is not easy to pick the winner of this classy eighthorse race, but it is worth noting that Streak Of Silver is long overdue his sixth career win.

Trained by Alan Greeff and ridden by Teaque Gould for Mr AR & Mrs ABL Beck, Streak Of Silver has been ultra-consistent in his three local runs, finishing less than two lengths behind the winner each time.

In his last outing, he was beaten 1,75 lengths by Afrikaburn over 1600m.

Streak Of Silver’s last victory was 269 days ago and he looks ready to graft out another win.

All eight runners have a winning chance, so punters will need some luck in finding the right combinations for their bets.

Vaughan Marshall-trained Zeb is another worthy contender as he runs at Fairview for the first time.

The son of Pathfork won his last start at Durbanville in Cape Town last month, defeating Provocateur over 1 400m. Louie Mxothwa takes the ride here and he can go close.

Dawn breaker, who will have Craig Zackey up for the Gavin Smith yard, is course and distance-suited and an honest individual. He is chasing a seventh victory from 25 outings and do not be surprised if he does it again.

Afrikaburn won his last race in fine style earlier this month. He has a tougher task in this line-up but cannot be overlooked with Chase Maujean riding for the Tara Laing stable.

Young Lyle Hewitson can seldom be left out, even if he is riding an outsider, so Breakfast Club must also be considered here. The champion jockey rides the son of Vision are for the first time.

Captain Marshall, with Greg Cheyne in the irons for the Greeff yard, is another classy sort with five wins from 17 starts.

This trainer and jockey duo are setting the pace in Port Elizabeth and could easily stretch their lead.

The vote goes to Streak Of Silver, with Zeb and Dawn breaker next best.

Hewitson is likely to get punters off to a winning start in the first leg of the Pick 6, Race 3, when he rides Believe this beauty for the Yvette Bremner yard.

The first race is off at 13:00.
