As the MultiChoice Diski Challenge Festival returns to Sisa Dukashe Stadium spectators have been urged to collect their free tickets early in order to avoid disappointment.

The Premier Soccer League reserve league will be played on Saturday and Sunday at NU 2, and gates will open at 8am on both days.

This is the second time the Mdantsane venue will get an opportunity to host this exciting festival, with the first and only festival at the venue held previously in November 2016.

PSL media officer, Emily Mogotlhe said entry was free on both days, but a ticket would be issued to supporters as a means of access control.

She said spectators should collect tickets at the stadium’s office on Thursday and Friday from 1pm and 6pm.

“Tickets will also be available at the activation points in and around Mdantsane which will be basically just to inform the people about the league and how to get into the stadium.

“We are hundred percent ready for the games and the teams playing on Saturday will arrive on Friday, and the teams playing on Sunday will arrive in East London on Saturday.

“But most importantly we want to make this clear that admission is free. The tickets are just for control around the stadium.

“Thus if the stadium takes 10,000 people we can be sure that we don’t exceed that number,” said Mogotlhe.

She said only the best of high intensity football would be on display on both days as the fight for league points commenced.

“We are doing this for the community of East London and surrounding areas and fans can expect nothing but high intensity football at it’s best.

“Because these boys are passionate about their trade and they want to prove themselves.

“But we are just hoping that Mdantsane can respond positively so these players can be motivated,” said Mogotlhe.

Here are the clubs competing in the festival at Sisa Dukashe Stadium: Cape Town City, Mamelodi Sundowns, Baroka, Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits, Polokwane City, Chippa United and Orlando Pirates.

Log leaders Cape Town City, who are still leading the pack with 22 points, will kick off proceedings on Saturday at 10am when they play against Mamelodi Sundowns. Baroka and Kaizer Chiefs will play the last match on Saturday at noon.

On Sunday, Bidvest Wits and Polokwane City will play the first game of the day at 10am. At noon, Chippa United will be up against with Orlando Pirates.

All Diski Challenge matches will broadcast live on SuperSport 4 (DStv channel 204) and SuperSport 10 (DStv channel 210) and on community TV channels available on DStv.
