Guided by a message of love, spirituality and hope, Kelly Khumalo says that is what her new album, Unleashed carries.

The songstress released the album in November 2018 and to date has received two million streams on digital platforms.

“The response really is great,” she said in East London on Wednesday.

Khumalo is on a city to city tour to promote her album.

“For me it is important to touch base with the people who support your music and the people who love you and would love to have a conversation with you and hear you speak, because it is not just about the album but conveying the message in the album,” she said.

Khumalo is hoping to restore people’s love with Unleashed.

“The biggest thing is to motivate people to continue to love love. We live in days where people don’t believe in love anymore and it is a sad thing to experience.

“I believe we were created by love for love so when you listen to the album you will see that I am trying really hard to take people back to love because that is what it is about.”

Khumalo featured afro pop sensation Vusi Nova, Classic soul singer Brenda Mntambo,

Idols SA finalist Kyle Deutsch and hip-hop rapper Jay Flo on the 12-track album.

Asked what was next for her, Khumalo who has been in the music industry for 15 years said she had no idea.

“I have no idea and for the first time in my life I am happy to say I have no idea and it beautiful to have no idea because most of the time we are trying to keep up with the times and trying to look busy and try to seem important.

“You can only hope that you are going to do certain things but only God allows certain things.

“After this I can only hope for greatness in which ever form it comes as long as it is Godly and it empowers me and other people,” she said.

Unleashed is available for download on all digital platforms and on sale on all music stores around the country.
