Swaraj shows mean streak

Parkridge-based Swaraj Football Club made it six straight wins on a trot at the North End Stadium on Sunday.

Swaraj evergreen striker Sherwin Smith once again demonstrated why he has been so highly rated, with a hat-trick as his side pulverised Napoli 6-0 to condemn Lybo Poyo’s Newlands-based outfit to the bottom of the log, still seeking their first points of the new season.

Allistar Visagie, Jaid Kroutz and Chevandre September netted the other goals.

Seagulls midfield talisman Theophilus Majane produced a superb matchwinning performance in the heart of the central midfield to inspire his side to a domineering 3-0 win against old foes Parkside United.

It could have been a different ball game had United taken two early missed chances.
