South Africans are being robbed and they are not even aware of it. Rogue wireless application service providers (WASPs) are stealing millions in airtime by fraudulently subscribing cellphone users to subscription services without their knowledge. This fraud is believed to run into billions in stolen airtime. WASPs steal just a few rands of airtime per day per user and they are not even aware of it.

WASPs go about their business secure in the knowledge that users probably won’t open criminal cases for a few hundred rands of stolen airtime.

Cloudy Deliveries is a group of young entrepreneurs who started a delivery-by-bicycle business in Langa in February. They have recently received a R25 000 donation to help their business grow and have bought a shipping container, which they have set up as a distribution centre. They have set their sights on attracting business from companies such as Takealot and FedEx.
