ANC politicians need to stand up and put the country first

GROUND BREAKING: The Gates Foundation’s Challenge is to provide 2.5 billion people with effective sanitation, and innovations are to be tested by the eThekwini Municipality. To those concerned, please remember the Zimbabwedesigned Blair toilet (Ventilated, Improved, Pit latrine) which has been used effectively for over 40 years in that country. It is waterless, low on cost, eco-friendly, chemical and additive-free and bio-degrading. It’s life can be extended indefinitely. Now that’s groundbreaking indeed!

The reason why the ANCYL and others are targeting Makhosi Khoza is because she has a brain and uses it. She sees the truth behind the smoke and mirrors generated by Zuma and his cronies. Whereas the ANCYL, if all added together, could not make even half a brain, which would be confused, ignorant and abusive anyway. Leave her alone, you bullying

morons. Mike.

There’s something that surprises me: the masses vote for the ANC government, yet it’s the same ANC that unleashes the police and other state security onto the people, immediately after the elections are over. (m)

The US congress was able to get a prosecutor to start investigating Trump and the Russian link. Despite the Congress having a Republican majority who have been supporting Trump, but who have decided to put country before the president and have supported the probe. Now we need the ANC majority in our Parliament to stand up and get the investigation into Zuma going, as recommended in public protector’s investigation. Put country before the president. Metro spending R4mil on water education. What portion on T/shirts? Do the ratepayers really have to clothe the nation? Billboards and posters should suffice. If the lazy buggers got off their bums and did proper maintenance, we would have less of a crisis. Denton, Durban.

To our mayor: Can you please find out why security vehicles follow water board vehicles all day in Toti? These security vehicles, you hire, you could employ 10 security guards, which will create jobs. Thanks. Buzz.

eThekwini Municipality now want to spend millions of ratepayers’ money on water saving awareness programme. I can guarantee that the money will go down the drain. People who do not have to pay for water waste the most amount of water, especially in informal settlements. Dada.

Police

Useless humans in free clothing with a salary. Recent experience.

It looks like all of the light poles at the N2 / M19 / Umgeni interchange are going to be cut down before any action is taken.

Fantastic! If you have to put cameras in rooms to catch thieves then so be it! Catch them! No one wants thieves! Car got stolen at Westwood Mall undercover paid parking

Sport

By the looks of it NZ rugby is running the rugby scene. South African rugby needs a war dance, like NZ haka. We should call it Shaka. Mr. V.

Odds and ends

Mall robberies, no arrest and gang gets away. The public and the powers that be in the SAPS need to monitor the 10111 call centre staff, as all calls and radio frequency are recorded. The time the call came in, how long the call taker kept the caller on the line before sending the complaint to the relevant channel, which covers specific areas, and how long that complaint was dispatched to the patrol vehicle(s), especially if the crime is in progress. You will be amazed by the incompetent staff that has now been employed at 10111 call centre, especially in Durban, and then see who their parents are and what rank they hold, and you will have your answer. I have called Pmb 10111 and the call centre operators are extremely helpful and sometimes offer to call you back if you’re running out of airtime. Durban 10111 is in the sewerage.

Zulu king, Goodwill Zwelithini, do you know how many RDPs one can build with 1 billion rands? A LOT;:$. Joe Soap.

To the person who said we must sell up in Clare Road: just think about those little creatures, like birds and butterflies, and also fish and other sea mammals that die because of all that grease and filth. Trucking yards breed rats. All the municipality cares about is breeding rats. And this is a residential area where we pay hefty rates.

Just waiting for some enterprising tea maker to match flavour of very famous tea producer, but market it at a far more reasonable price than the present one, the price of which has escalated from R24 to almost R40 within less than 10 months! ese.

Do 70+ qualify automatically for old age grant, or is there still an assessment process?
