Hillcrest estate sparks keen buyers

- DAILY NEWS REPORTER

INTEREST is so keen in a new gated estate in Hillcrest that the developers believe it will all sell out on the official launch date.

Some 1 800 people have already registered their interest on the website for Cotswold Fenns – which adjoins Cotswold Down Golf and Lifestyle Estate – and more than 350 people have visited the site in three weeks.

“Although we were always confident that Cotswold Fenns would be a success, we have been blown away by the unprecedented interest shown,” said Jacques van Rooyen, the sales manager.

“We are very fortunate to be able to work with a site boasting 10 hectares of natural wetland, but our primary objective was to bring all pricing in between R1 million and R1.75m.”

A large component of the team behind the record-breaking launch of The Pearls of uMhlanga, are behind Cotswold Fenns, a pet-friend estate, surrounded by 60ha of rolling hills.

Phase 1 will comprise 180 contemporary 2-bedroom and 2-bathroom apartments.

There will be a direct pedestrian route to Curro Hillcrest High School and Watercrest Mall, recreational parks, featuring swimming pools, an outdoor gym, braai areas, landscaped picnic spots and bird viewing decks.

Recent statistics show that over the last year alone, 30% of recent buyers in Hillcrest were between the ages of 36 and 49, proving that the area appeals to young families.

The increased demand has led to a shortage of homes in gated estates, as well as a lack of opportunities between a specific entry-level price range.

The official sales launch is on July 8 and interested buyers are asked to register on www. cotswoldfenns.co.za to get an invitation.

?? ?? Phenomenal demand has been shown in the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments that will go on sale in Hillcrest next month.
