State of cronies, crooks
WHEN I see, read and hear tripe, I call it tripe.
There is no other way to describe the scurrilous alle
gations that our esteemed public protector, Busi Mkhwebane, throws around, pulling rabbits out of her hat to justify herself, with allegations of misconduct and throwing mud at the Reserve Bank from an almost 30-year-old case.
Then, overreaching from her mandate, she requests changes to the constitution, so the central bank must change its focus from maintaining currency and price stability to one of promoting economic growth.
Here is another downgrade coming our way soon.
The problem is that, the more she was talking, the more she exposed herself as incompetent and that she was put there for one reason only – to try and incapacitate the Reserve Bank so the plundering can continue unabated.
We all know by now why No 1 put her and every other appointee in key positions: to do his bidding, although he made two mistakes in his appointments of Thuli Madonsela and Mogoeng Mogoeng (these are two unique individuals).
How pathetic she was, trying to act and sound regal. Poor Mkhwebane - if she thinks she can match Madonsela, she is sorely mistaken.
Instead of following what her predecessor left on her desk about the state capture, and have No 1 behind bars by now, or chasing the billions which are misappropriated every year according to the auditor
general, she has become a gravedigger to unearth what was dead long ago, but has no chance of success of bringing to life.
I wonder if there are not any competent people in this government, only unqualified cronies and crooks. JM BOUVIER
