When he joined Victoria Country Club the club did about 22 000 rounds a year but that has increased to 26 000. The golf membership base is also improving under his directorsh­ip and he also hopes to increase the 600 or so members as the years go by.

According to Arnold, the course is in outstandin­g condition – it was not affected by the recent drought because they have their own dams for irrigation.
