Temer defiant
RIO DE JANEIRO: Brazil’s President Michel Temer rejected graft charges against him and refused to step down.
Temer also accused the Attorney-General Rodrigo Janot of reinventing the criminal code in order to attack him. Janot on Monday charged Temer with taking bribes from the firm JBS in return for his intercession in its favour at the country’s competition regulator.
