Ignoring Yemen because of Saudi Arabia
SAUDI Arabia will never emerge victorious in Yemen.
And the US and UK are complicit in the humanitarian crisis in that country.
It is their money paying to refuel the Saudi Arabian bombers; it is their intelligence identifying targets for bombing; and it is their ally Saudi Arabia blockading the arrival of food and medicine.
The continuation of the war means further human misery, poverty, hunger, malnutrition, extremism, radicalism, famine, disease and regional insecurity.
Yemenis are also suffering from the worst cholera outbreak in history, with at least a million expected to be affected by the end of the year, including 600 000 children.
The irony is that Saudi Arabia has not fired a single shot against the occupiers of the land of Palestine, but fire indiscriminately at civilians in Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world.
It is indeed ridiculous to think that slaughtering Yemenis will alleviate suffering or bring peace to the Middle East.
The sooner the international community realises this, the better. NAUSHAD ALLY
