PROVINCIAL ambulances in the Northern Cape are not sufficiently equipped to deal with day-to-day emergencies and according to the men and women who work in these vehicles, they “have to work their butts off so that the big guys can shine”. In a letter published in the DFA recently, a member of the public stated that there were no neck supports in either of the two ambulances called out to an emergency on the Cape Town Road.
