Borehole issues

SIR – In light of the fact that we once again awoke to no water in our pipes, something which occurs regularly in Kimberley due to pipes being repaired, I wish to raise the issue of boreholes.

While most gardens in Kimber- ley look like mini Sahara Deserts those with boreholes continue to enjoy green, lush grass.

What concerns me is that these boreholes are tapping into Kimberley’s underground water resources, which belong to all the residents of Kimberley, without paying either a monthly or yearly fee for the use of this resource, and are using this
