THE SECURITY officer found guilty of brutally stabbing and cutting off the genitals of a 19-year-old Schuteskamma mine worker yesterday told the Kimberley High Court that he was driven to kill because he was haunted by the experience of an armed robbery where he was stabbed, badly assaulted and left for dead. He said he was psychologically and emotionally scarred when he was attacked by four armed African males on April 29 2005 in Christiana where he worked as a security guard.
