CELEBRATED gospel group, Joyous Celebration, are set to bring Kimberlites a spectacular show this month.

As part of their nationwide Heal Our Land tour, South Africa’s number one gospel choir has played a huge role in developing Northern Cape artists by including them in the event, which takes place at the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre on November 18.

“I am so excited for the opportunity and highly blessed to be able to perform at such a magnificent event. God is good,” proclaimed Karen van Staden, who will be one of the performers to share the stage as Joyous Celebration.

“People can expect an entertaining and soulful performance from me. I also have a wonderful group of musicians and vocalists joining me on stage, therefore everyone can expect to be ministered too through my entire performance. The Word says that ‘where two or more are’ that God will be there,” she added.

Other acts that were chosen, in consultation with arts and culture officials, to participate in the event include Spiritual Sweet Inspiration gospel choir and De Aarbased Mkhululi.

“My love for gospel music grew stronger as I matured, so I am expecting a move of the Holy Spirit as I perform on stage,” said Mkhululi.

Many know the dynamic Spiritual Sweet Inspiration gospel choir for their upbeat performances and people can expect “double the effort” from them at next weekend’s event.

Performing on such a large stage will also give these artists some much needed exposure.

Event organiser Zikie Molusi, of ZikMo Promotions, has been bringing Joyous Celebration to the Northern Cape for many years and has promised that this year’s event will be just as successful.

“We are delighted and proud to be associated with such a successful gospel group, we are co-ordinating this event on behalf of the people of the Northern Cape,” said Molusi.

The DFA will be running a competition for Joyous Celebration fans in the days leading up to the event.

Heal Our Land tickets are available at Computicket.
