RESULTS from cricket matches played in the city this past weekend.

ONLY one Premier League Time cricket fixture took place this weekend, when Yorkshire took on Burma Lads at the Yorkshire ground.

Unfortunately the match was abandoned after both teams had batted out their first innings, due to some unpleasantness.

Kagisho Pedi stroked a fine 117 in his innings for Yorkshire, who totalled 263 all out. The main wicket-taker for Burma Lads was Jonathan Malan who ended with 4/87. In reply, opener for Lads, Rhyno Janse van rensburg matched Pedi’s 117 by scoring 119 not out in his stay at the crease, with Sam Laven 3/37 and part time bowler, Zakir Kathrada claiming 2/45, was the pick of the Yorkshire bowling attack.
