A 23-YEARold man has been charged with dealing in drugs after Kimberley police found mandrax tablets, with an estimated street value of R6 500, in his possession.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sergio Kock, said that the man was arrested during routine festive season patrols by the police in the Kimberley CBD on Sunday.
“On Sunday, at about 3.50pm, the Kimberley Visible Policing unit stopped and searched a 23-year-old man at a hiking spot in Phakamile Mabija Road near the Kimberley CBD. Police found 93 mandrax tablets, with an estimated street value of R6 500, on the suspect. The suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs.
The suspect will be appearing in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon. The investigation continues,” said Kock.
