These include HTS Middelburg, Welkom Gimnasium, and Pretoria Boys High. The Eastern Cape’s Dale College, Queen’s College and Selborne College in East London, Hoërskool Framesby and finally HTS Drostdy from the Cape will all be there.

NCH rugby coach, Deon Carney was excited about the prospect of taking on some of the top teams in the country.

“We are always extremely excited to participate at this tournament. It is definitely a highlight of our season,”Carney said.

“Playing against the top schools in the country (means) getting fantastic exposure for our team and most importantly our players,” he added.“We are looking to improve from last years good results, but we know the task ahead of us will be a real tough one.”

The festival promises solid, exciting running rugby and an opportunity to witness some of SA’s fledgling talent. Many players from previous Kearsney festivals have become household names in Super and Currie Cup rugby, as well as Springbok and SA Sevens players.
