ADVERTISING FEATURE Renal Care celebrates 1st anniversary

-

KURUMAN Renal Care (KRC) is the first Haemodialysis clinic to open it doors in Kuruman. Situated at 19 Moss Street, Kuruman, it is proud to celebrate its first anniversary.

KRC offers a calm and relaxing homely, yet professional, atmosphere.

Prior to the opening of KRC, people in Kuruman and surrounding areas were forced to travel as far as Vryburg, Kimberley and Upington, three times a week, to get treatment. Some even relocated to other towns and provinces.

When diagnosed with kidney failure most people are forced to quit their jobs due to the time their spend on treatment. A kidney is one of the most important organs in our bodies. It maintains balance for normal functioning. Suffering from kidney failure can have a devastating impact on a person’s health and subsequent lifestyle and quality thereof.

We, at KRC, understand that and we do our bit to assist our patients to restore and maintain their dignity. We are currently the only dialysis centre in the Province that provides flexible hours that allows patients to choose dialysis times to suit their individual programmes, including before and after work.

KRC brought the health facility closer to its patients and thus cut down on traveling time. Patients can continue to be employed and retain their medical aids.

KRC is proud to have assisted at least five people to return to work and become economically stable again.

The opening of the unit has also made it possible for people living with this condition to visit their loved ones in Kuruman and can receive treatment at KRC as holiday patients.

Having seen the huge impact that our services make in people’s life, we would like to expand our serves into the rest of the Northern Cape.

We have already started awareness and educational campaigns and hope to intensify our programmes over the next few months.

Thanks to our dedicated and highly qualified professional team as well as our loyal patients and their respective families.

We would also like to pay tribute to Doctor Frits Odendal, who was instrumental in assisting us to find our feet in the process of establishing the unit.

It is our wish to be around for many more years to come and we looking forward to the support of the doctors and all other health practitioners.

We have managed to overcome all the challenges and we are all super proud to have reached this milestone.
