DE WILDT-4X4 GAME PARK
The serious 4x4 obstacles lie on a separate 4x4 trail, and if you want to play there, you and your co-pilot better be ready to sweat. There’s a mud hole just made to get stuck in, long, hard rocky obstacles where you’ll leave parts behind if you don’t drive well, and steep banks and hills. Make sure there are at least two vehicles in your group, with recovery gear, if you drive in this area. Otherwise you might just have to cough up a few hundred rands for a recovery by the De Wildt team. Apart from the 4x4 trail, De Wildt 4x4 Game Park has a long list of activities and accommodation options. There are four lapas, three swimming pools, a great bar, picnic and braai facilities and mountain biking and hiking trails. There’s also a jungle gym for the little ones and a dam where they can catch fish (as long as they release them again).
