ENTER A NEW AGE

Elon Musk’s seemingly far-fetched Hyperloop theory – the view to one day use an ultra-fast transport system to move passengers all around the world – is now being tested on full scale by the start-up, Hyperloop One, in Dubai. This has included agreements with governments in Russia, Finland and Dubai to explore the new technology’s potential on various scales, with the latter possibly growing to embody a blazingly fast transport network across the Gulf region. It is hoped that this phase is just the first step for the new travel tech, with Hyperloop One harbouring ambitions of connecting cities across the Middle East. This would include a 12-minute journey between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, a 139 km trip that currently takes around an hour and a half by road.
