ALFA FOXTROT ONE
After a three-decade-plus absence from the sport, Alfa Romeo announced its intention to take part in the 2018 Formula 1 championship after signing a multi-year technical and commercial partnership agreement with Swiss Sauber F1 Team. At the same time, the team unveiled its Ferrari-powered single seater F1 car in distinctive Alfa Romeo livery. The scope of the agreement between Alfa and Sauber F1 includes strategic, commercial, and technological cooperation in all areas of development, including access to engineering knowhow and the expertise of the Alfa Romeo technical team. At the press briefing where the new team and its shiny steed were unveiled, team bosses made it clear that future cooperation would not be limited to Formula 1 alone, and that the partnership will also provide additional opportunities for both brands and the automotive sector in general.
