BMW’S EV SOUNDTRACK
Most people who drive an electric car for the first time find the lack of sound to be quite intimidating. In fact, the cars are usually so quiet that various manufacturers now include acoustic warning sounds to make pedestrians aware of an approaching EV. More than that, though, true car enthusiasts just love the sound of a six- or eight-cylinder engine, especially when driven in anger, and to the extent that the soundtrack of most performance cars have become part of the identity of both the model and the brand – think BMW M.
